Research Description

I am currently working as Post-doctoral Researcher in the SMC Group at INESC TEC

For most of 2013, I worked in the Media Interaction Group at AIST in Japan.

Prior to this I worked on the Shake It Project at INESC TEC on the analysis and synthesis of groove in music.

My previous research interests have focused on music information retrieval, specifically on the problem of beat tracking for musical audio.
I have also worked on object-based coding, the analysis of music-therapy improvisations and on sparse representations as part of the EU-SMALL project.
